Colombia has the highest bird species diversity globally. They have over 1,900 confirmed species and over 80 of them are endemic to Colombia. Our guides talked a lot about the birds but we were not in the best birding locations. We never got to see any toucans, scarlet ibis's, or the Andean Condor, with a wingspan of almost eleven feet and weighing up to 33 pounds.

We did see many even more colorful birds than I will show, but the darn little rascals wouldn't stay put long enough for me to get a photo. Most of my photos are from our eco-farm or from the botanical garden that we visited, and then most were feasting at bird feeders with bananas, plantain, etc.
